For reasons beyond my comprehension, I have been drawing and hoarding like crazy, which means that there will be a steady stream of drawings and designs coming into this blog. Many of them will be concepts I made for a game idea I have been working on called "Scroungers."
Scroungers combines the hopelessness and dark overtones of a post-apocalyptic world with the cheeriness and positivity of these strange, little, big-headed characters. These are the Scroungers. They work hard to keep life rolling along in a hash environment with air that is no longer breathable. Whether they are fighting off scary bio-mechanical monsters or racing for their life from a collapsing skyscraper, they always make time for games and fun experiments. The game combines third-person action and exploration in an MMO world. The classes to choose from are Mechanic, Guard, Surveyor, and Scientist. Have a look:
The Outskirts

The future doesn't look so bright. Well, at least not in this dreary landscape. This is a thriving metropolis build in the middle of a scrapyard wasteland. The tallest building (Tendrel Tower) is a repeating theme in many of my drawings. It represents progress at any cost, including the now desolate and polluted environment. Have a look! Tell me what you think!
Old Comic Covers

Here are some old comic covers I designed for a short animated film "Will." Though you never do get a good shot of them, they were still a lot of fun to do. It's difficult to parody a style that is so ridiculous to begin with. While researching old 50's and 60's comic covers, I saw many that were more wild and cheesy than these. Hope you enjoy!
Muppet X-Men babies

I have to post this just because I had so much fun with it. I did it for "Smash! Bam! Pow!" a few days ago for their last topic. For some reason combining X-Men and Muppet Babies made the most sense to me. I just sat myself down in Photoshop and didn't get up until I was done. Enjoy!

Cute and Cuddly

I decided to bring out the micron pens and use paper for a while and give the ol' tablet a rest. These are a couple ideas I had recently. I'm not a sadistic person, but I do love the contrast. The kid has the generic aggressively cute eyes to match a bloody knife, and who can be mad at a dog that looks so innocent?
